How to use it

  1. Pick “NEET photo” in the list below. It is set to 10–200 KB on a passport-shaped frame.

  2. Choose a recent photo with a white background where your face fills most of the picture and both ears show. Press Resize and download.

  3. Switch to “NEET signature”, choose a photo of your signature on white paper, and press Resize. The file should land between 10 and 100 KB.

  4. Switch to “NEET finger and thumb impressions” and do the same for the left hand image and then the right hand image.

  5. For the PDF uploads (Class 10 certificate, mark sheet, address proof), use Compress PDF to 300 KB if a file is too big.

What NTA asks for in the NEET UG form

The NEET (UG) 2026 Information Bulletin lists every file the form takes. The passport size photograph can be colour or black and white, must be a JPG or JPEG, and must be between 10 KB and 200 KB. The bulletin also says 80% of the picture should be your face, without a mask, with both ears visible, against a white background. The signature must be a JPG or JPEG between 10 KB and 100 KB. The left hand and right hand finger and thumb impressions must be JPG or JPEG between 10 KB and 200 KB.

Documents are PDFs. The Class 10 certificate, the Class 10 mark sheet, the address proof, and any category or PwD certificate each need to be between 50 KB and 300 KB. The identity proof, needed only if you are not verifying through Aadhaar or DigiLocker, is a JPG between 10 KB and 200 KB. The form also captures a live photo of you while you apply. That is separate from the photo file you upload.

No pixel size, so what does the tool use?

NTA does not print a width and height in pixels or centimetres for NEET. Many websites say 3.5 × 4.5 cm, but that is not in the bulletin. What the bulletin does fix is the KB range and the look of the photo. The tool starts from a passport-shaped frame, 3.5 by 4.5 centimetres at 300 DPI, because that keeps the face large and sharp and fits easily inside 200 KB. If your photo has a lot of empty space above your head, crop it in your phone first so the face fills the frame, then resize here.

The 10 KB minimum matters too. A file that is too small is rejected just like one that is too big. If a clean signature comes out under 10 KB even at the highest quality, the tool makes the frame a little bigger, keeping the same shape, until the file reaches the minimum. The result line tells you when it has done that.

Finger and thumb impressions

This is the upload most people get stuck on, and most resizers do not mention it. Press your fingers and thumb on an ink pad, then on plain white paper, so each print is clear and separate. Take a photo of the paper in daylight, from straight above, without a shadow. Crop out the table. The preset keeps the whole sheet and pads the edges with white so no print is cut off, then brings the file inside 10 to 200 KB.

Keep every original file. You may need to upload the same images again if you correct the form, and the photo you upload must match how you look on the exam day.

FAQ

What is the NEET photo size in KB?
Between 10 KB and 200 KB, as a JPG or JPEG, according to the NEET (UG) 2026 Information Bulletin.
What is the NEET signature size?
A JPG or JPEG between 10 KB and 100 KB. Some older articles say 4 to 30 KB. That is not what the 2026 bulletin says.
Does NEET need a 3.5 × 4.5 cm photo?
The bulletin does not give a cm or pixel size. It gives the KB range and says the face must fill 80% of the photo with ears visible on a white background. The tool uses a passport-shaped frame as a sensible start.
What are the finger and thumb impression files?
Images of the fingers and thumb of your left hand and of your right hand, each a JPG between 10 KB and 200 KB.
Is the photo sent to your server?
No. Everything runs in your browser. The files stay on your device.
Will these numbers change for NEET 2027?
They might. We re-check the bulletin each cycle and show the date we last checked next to the source link. The official bulletin always wins.
