Install TaskNinja as an app
You can add TaskNinja to your phone's home screen or your computer's app list. It opens in its own window without the browser bar, starts faster, and tools you have already used keep working when you are offline. It is free, there is no app store download, and it takes a few kilobytes of space.
Your files still stay on your device
The installed app is the same website. Every tool runs inside your browser on your own device, so your files and the text you type are never uploaded to our servers or to anyone else. The app only keeps a copy of our pages and tool code so they can open without a connection. See our privacy page for details.
On a laptop or desktop (Chrome or Edge)
- Open any page on taskninja.ai.
- Click Install app at the top of the page, or the install icon at the right end of the address bar.
- Click Install. TaskNinja opens in its own window and appears in your Start menu, Dock or app launcher.
On an Android phone (Chrome, Edge, Samsung Internet)
- Open taskninja.ai and tap Install app at the top.
- Tap Install. If you do not see the button, open the browser menu and tap Add to Home screen or Install app.
On an iPhone or iPad (Safari)
- Open taskninja.ai in Safari.
- Tap the Share button, the square with an arrow pointing up.
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
On iPhone and iPad, Apple lets apps be added from Safari, and from Chrome or Edge on iOS 16.4 and later through the same Share menu.
Using tools offline
The first time you open a tool, its page and code are saved on your device. After that it opens without a connection. A tool you have never opened needs the internet once. Large viewer engines, such as the CAD and STEP viewer engine, are saved the first time you load a file with them.
Updates
The app updates itself. When we ship a fix or a new tool, you get it the next time you open TaskNinja while online. There is nothing to download.
Removing the app
Remove it like any other app: long press the icon and choose Remove or Uninstall on a phone, or open the app menu and choose Uninstall on a computer. This also clears the saved pages.
