How to use it

  1. Pick “IBPS photo” in the list below: 200 × 230 pixels, 20–50 KB. Choose a recent colour photo on a light background and press Resize.

  2. Switch to “IBPS signature”: 140 × 60 pixels, 10–20 KB. Choose your signature on white paper in black ink and press Resize.

  3. Switch to “IBPS left thumb”: 240 × 240 pixels, 20–50 KB. Use a clear left thumb print on white paper.

  4. Switch to “IBPS hand-written declaration”: 800 × 400 pixels, 50–100 KB. Use a photo of the declaration written in your own handwriting.

  5. Download each file after the size line confirms it is inside the range, and upload each one in its own box on the IBPS form.

The four image uploads

The IBPS CRP PO/MT-XVI notification asks for four images. The photograph should be a recent passport style colour picture against a light, preferably white, background, 200 by 230 pixels (preferred), with a file size between 20 KB and 50 KB. The signature is signed on white paper with a black ink pen, 140 by 60 pixels (preferred), between 10 KB and 20 KB. The left thumb impression is made in black or blue ink on white paper, 240 by 240 pixels at 200 DPI (3 by 3 cm), between 20 KB and 50 KB.

The hand-written declaration is written in English on white paper in black ink, 800 by 400 pixels at 200 DPI (10 by 5 cm), between 50 KB and 100 KB. The notice gives the exact text to copy, beginning “I, (your name), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid.” Write it in your own handwriting. A declaration or signature in capital letters is not accepted.

Why a small file can be rejected

IBPS sets a minimum as well as a maximum. A 140 by 60 pixel signature on clean white paper can easily weigh only 3 or 4 KB, which is under the 10 KB floor. The pixel sizes in the notice are marked “preferred”, not fixed, so when a file lands under the minimum the tool keeps the same shape and makes the frame larger step by step until the file reaches the floor. The result line tells you the final pixel size, so you always know what you are uploading.

The opposite problem happens with the photo. A 200 by 230 pixel colour photo at top quality can be just over 50 KB if the background is busy. The tool lowers the JPEG quality until it fits. Use a plain background and the photo stays sharper at the same size.

Other banks that use IBPS

IBPS also runs the online forms for several other recruitments. The registration pages for RBI and SBI exams hosted by IBPS have used the same photo, signature, thumb and declaration sizes. Still, read the notice for the exam you are applying to before you upload, because a single number can change. If it does, type the new value into the boxes here.

Your certificates are a separate upload. In the PO/MT-XVI notice, the 10th standard certificate is an A4 PDF of up to 500 KB. Use Compress PDF if your scan is larger.

FAQ

What is the IBPS PO photo size?
200 × 230 pixels (preferred), between 20 KB and 50 KB, as a JPG or JPEG.
What is the IBPS signature size?
140 × 60 pixels (preferred), between 10 KB and 20 KB, signed in black ink on white paper.
What is the left thumb impression size?
240 × 240 pixels at 200 DPI (3 × 3 cm), between 20 KB and 50 KB.
What is the hand-written declaration size?
800 × 400 pixels at 200 DPI (10 × 5 cm), between 50 KB and 100 KB, written in English in your own handwriting, not in capital letters.
Why is my resized signature larger than 140 × 60 pixels?
Because at 140 × 60 it was under the 10 KB minimum. The pixel size in the notice is preferred, so the tool enlarged it in the same shape to pass the floor.
Are my files uploaded to TaskNinja?
No. All four files are resized in your browser and stay on your device.
