Resize Image to 100KB
This page opens the photo tool with the maximum set to 100 KB on a 3.5 by 4.5 cm frame.
What this tool does
How to use it
The maximum is already 100 KB, with no minimum, on a 3.5 by 4.5 centimetre frame.
Replace the frame with the pixels or centimetres printed on your form.
Drop the original JPG, PNG, or WebP. Keep JPEG unless the form names another type.
Press Resize and read both the KB and the pixel size in the preview.
Download the file if it is under 100 KB and the crop matches the instructions.
Common uses
100 KB is a looser photo cap than 20 or 50 KB. Some college portals, visa photo uploads, and state forms allow it, and the picture usually stays clearer because the tool does not have to crush the JPEG as hard. This page pre-selects a maximum of 100 KB and the same 3.5 by 4.5 centimetre portrait frame used by the 50 KB page. Change the frame if the notice prints different measurements. The minimum starts at 0. If the form also sets a floor, type that floor in. A file under the floor can be rejected.
Do not use this page for a PDF that must be under 100 KB. A photo and a PDF are different uploads. Compress PDF to 100 KB is the PDF tool, and it is already set to that document cap. Sending a JPG to a PDF field, or a PDF to a photo field, fails even when the number of kilobytes is right.
IBPS-style boxes are often 20 to 50 KB at a set pixel size, not 100 KB. UPSC-style notes people pass around sometimes allow a wider band, up to a few hundred KB. Those are not rules this website issues. If your notification says 100 KB and a pixel size, this page is a reasonable start and you still type the pixels yourself. If it says 20 to 50 KB, use the 50 KB page or the named preset on the main tool and set the minimum.
WhatsApp profile photos and catalogue pictures do not need an exam frame. You can set a square pixel size, leave the maximum at 100 KB, and download a lighter JPG to send. The tool will not post it to WhatsApp. Quality steps down before the dimensions do, so a 100 KB file keeps more of the original than a 20 KB file of the same crop.
Passport-style photos on the main page use 51 by 51 millimetres and a higher maximum. If a visa site asks for 100 KB and a square, set the unit to millimetres or pixels to match that site, and leave this page’s 100 KB maximum. Crop to fill so the square is covered. Look at the preview at full size. A soft face is better caught here than after the visa site rejects the file.
Private, and the limits
Resizing stays in your browser. The photo is not uploaded to TaskNinja and is not sent to an AI provider. You do not need an account, and this tool does not count against the daily limit used by the writing tools.
The result line is the limit that matters. “Under 100 KB” on that line means the file met the cap. “Still above 100 KB” means it did not, even if the picture looks smaller on screen. HEIC support depends on the browser. There is no background removal and no official certification of the file.
