What this tool does

Convert .graffle OmniGraffle drawings to PDF, PNG or SVG in your browser without a Mac. One PDF page per canvas, ready to print or share. Nothing is uploaded.

How to use it

  1. Choose the .graffle file, or the .zip of a package folder. It stays on your device.

  2. Check the canvases in the viewer. Use the list or arrows to look through each one.

  3. Press Download PDF for every canvas, or save the current canvas as PNG or SVG. The file is made on this device and nothing is sent anywhere.

Common uses

A PDF is the easy way to share a diagram with people who do not have OmniGraffle: it opens on every phone and computer, prints at the right size and can be attached to a ticket, a report or an email. Normally only the person with OmniGraffle on a Mac can make one. This page does it anywhere: the drawing is read in your browser, each canvas is redrawn, and a PDF is built on your device with one page per canvas, labelled with the canvas name.

Each page is set to portrait or landscape to suit its canvas, and the drawing is fitted inside the margins at high resolution so lines and text stay sharp when printed or zoomed. If you need just one diagram in a slide deck or a wiki, Save as PNG gives a crisp picture at twice the screen size, and SVG keeps it as vectors that scale without blur in Word, PowerPoint, Figma or a web page.

Typical jobs: a network engineer on Windows receives the office network map from a Mac colleague and needs it printed for a site visit; a student gets lecture diagrams as .graffle files; a designer hands over wireframes and the developer wants them in the ticket; an IT team cleaning up an old file share finds years of .graffle files nobody can open any more and wants them as PDFs before the last Mac is retired. In every case the content matters more than perfect fidelity, and getting it out in a minute beats waiting for someone else to export it.

Large drawings are fine. The file is read in a background worker that draws the first canvas first, then the rest, while a progress bar shows how far it has got, and the PDF is written page by page so the tab stays responsive.

Private, and the limits

The conversion happens on your device. The .graffle file is not uploaded and the PDF, PNG or SVG is handed straight to your browser as a download.

Shadows are left out and missing fonts are replaced with a similar one, so the PDF can differ slightly from an export made in OmniGraffle itself. Text is part of the picture in the PDF; use the CSV export from the viewer to get the words as text.
