What this tool does

PDF to JPG draws each PDF page as a picture, at the resolution you choose, without sending the file anywhere.

How to use it

  1. Choose the PDF. A preview of page 1 and the page count appear. If it has a password, type it in the box that appears.

  2. Keep All pages, or choose pages such as 1, 3-5.

  3. Pick JPG or PNG and a resolution. 150 DPI suits most phones and forms; 300 DPI is for printing.

  4. Press Convert, check the previews, then download single images or all of them as a ZIP.

Common uses

Many upload boxes accept only images. A scholarship site may want the income certificate as a JPG, a job portal may ask for the degree certificate “in JPG format below 200 KB”, and a WhatsApp group shows a JPG instantly where a PDF needs a tap and a download. Converting the page to a JPG solves all three. Choose the page, keep JPG, and download.

Resolution decides how sharp and how heavy the picture is. At 72 DPI an A4 page becomes about 595 by 842 pixels, which is fine for a phone screen. At 150 DPI it is about 1240 by 1754 pixels, sharp enough to read small print, and the usual choice for forms. At 300 DPI it is about 2480 by 3508 pixels, for printing at a shop. Higher DPI files are several times bigger, so start at 150 and go up only if the text looks soft.

JPG is the right choice for scans, photos and certificates with colour. PNG keeps text and thin lines perfectly crisp and suits screenshots of typed pages, tables or diagrams, but the file is much larger. If a JPG of a typed page shows faint blur around the letters, try PNG at the same DPI and compare the sizes in the preview.

If the image has to be under a size limit, convert at 150 DPI with JPG quality set to Medium or Small file, then check the KB shown under each preview. When the number is still too high, take that JPG to Resize Photo and set the exact KB range and pixel size the form asks for, or use a fixed page such as Resize Image to 200 KB.

Pages that need to stay together as a document should stay a PDF. To send only some pages as a PDF, use Split PDF instead. To turn images back into a single PDF later, for example after editing a page, use JPG to PDF. The three tools work on the same device and none of them uploads your files.

Private, and the limits

Pages are drawn by pdf.js, Mozilla’s open-source PDF engine, running inside this browser tab. The PDF and the images never leave your device. The fonts and image decoders pdf.js needs are served from taskninja.ai itself, not from a third-party CDN, and there is no account, watermark or daily limit.

Some honest limits. A page is captured as it would print, so form fields you filled in may show only if they were saved into the PDF. Huge pages, such as engineering drawings, are scaled down to stay within what phone browsers can draw, about 16 megapixels per image. Converting a long PDF at 300 DPI can take a while on an older phone, so convert the pages you need rather than all of them. Your password, if the PDF has one, is used only in this tab to open the file and is not stored.

FAQ

How do I convert only one page of a PDF to JPG?
Set Pages to “Choose pages” and type the page number, for example 2. Only that page is converted.
Which resolution should I choose?
150 DPI for forms, email and WhatsApp. 300 DPI only for printing. 72 DPI if you just need a quick preview on a screen.
Can I convert a password-protected PDF?
Yes, if you know the password. Type it when the tool asks. It is used only in your browser to open the file.
Should I pick JPG or PNG?
JPG for scans, photos and most upload boxes, because the file is smaller. PNG for crisp typed text, tables or diagrams when size does not matter.
Is the PDF uploaded to convert it?
No. Each page is drawn into an image on your device and the download is made from that.
How do I make the JPG smaller in KB?
Choose Medium or Small file quality, or a lower DPI. For an exact KB range, run the JPG through the Resize Photo tool afterwards.
