Age as on a Date

People search for age as on a date when a form will not take today's age. SSC CGL 2026, SSC CHSL 2026 and UPSC CSE 2026 all reckon age on 01-08-2026. The phrase in the SSC notices is Age limit (As on 01-08-2026). The count is a calendar count. From 2 August 1999 to 1 August 2026 is 26 years, 11 months and 30 days, so 27 years have not been completed. From 1 August 2008 to 1 August 2026 is 18 years exactly. From 2 August 2005 to 1 August 2026 is 20 years, 11 months and 30 days, so 21 years have not been completed. From 1 August 1994 to 1 August 2026 is 32 years exactly. Those four results are arithmetic on the dates. Whether a given exam treats the exact anniversary as inside or outside the limit is written in its notice, and this page does not overrule that sentence.

SSC CHSL 2026 states one window for its posts: 18 to 27 years, born not before 02-08-1999 and not later than 01-08-2008. UPSC CSE 2026 states that a candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on the 1st of August, 2026, which the notice spells out as born not earlier than 2 August 1994 and not later than 1 August 2005. SSC CGL 2026 uses the same as-on date but more than one window, depending on the post. A button can drop the CHSL pair or the UPSC General pair into the optional boxes. It will not drop a relaxation. Check your post and category in the official notice, and type any extra years yourself.
