Strip the GPS location, phone model, dates and other hidden metadata from your photos before you share them, without uploading them or losing quality.
Opening the tool…
What this tool does
Remove EXIF data, GPS location and other metadata from JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and AVIF photos. No quality loss, many at once. Nothing is uploaded.
How to use it
Tap Choose photos and pick the pictures you want to share. JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and AVIF all work.
Look at what each one reveals. If it says This photo shows where it was taken, the GPS position is inside the file.
Keep Everything selected to remove all metadata, or choose Location only to keep the camera details. Tap the button and download the clean copy or the ZIP.

FAQ
How can I remove metadata from a photo for free?
Choose the photos on this page, keep Everything selected and tap Remove metadata. Download the clean photo or a ZIP. It is free, has no file limit and nothing is uploaded.
How do I know the EXIF data is really gone?
After cleaning, the tool reads each new file again and says whether anything is left. You can also pick the clean file on this page: it should show no location, camera or date.
Does WhatsApp remove the location from photos?
Apps change their behaviour over time, and photos sent as documents usually keep their metadata. Cleaning the photo here before sending is the safe way to be sure.
Can I keep the date but remove the GPS location?
Yes. Choose Location only. GPS and place names are removed, and the camera, settings and dates stay in the file.
Will the clean photo be smaller?
Usually a little, because the hidden preview and maker notes go too. The picture itself is not compressed again, so it looks exactly the same.
